Reasons to be healthy


Lent is here and it is a time for many who follow it to either give up something or spend more time doing something. I have decided on the former. Last year I managed, bar one day, to give up meat and felt healthier for it, however, after Easter I went back to my meat eating ways. This year I plan on substituting some of my meals by having smoothies to try and eliminate some sugars and fats from my diet. 40 days without my usual foods, should hopefully, give me better sleep, improve my energy levels and make me think clearer. I will take one day at time and hope that the lack of my favourite foods do not make me ratty and irritable. Only time will tell.
