When was the last time you laughed?

World Laughter Day is observed on 2nd May. It is a day that is celebrated to make people aware of the importance of laughter and the significance of it. This day was established in 1998, by an Indian doctor named Madan Kataria, when he got inspired and started the Laughter Yoga movement to spread positivity. The benefits of laughing are endless – Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease. Whether it be a chuckle, belly laugh or side splitting tears rolling down your face, laughter is a good medicine. It can relieve stress and pain as well as well as boosting your mood. So go on, go to that comedy show, watch that funny film or comedy or have a good belly laugh with friends and family. I am pretty sure you will feel a lot better.
