Rest and relaxation are sometimes things that people take for granted. It is last on the list of priorities and it is only when we are forced to take some r and r that we realise that it is something that should be taken on a regular basis.
R and r can be in the form of meeting up with friends, listening to music, going for a walk or just switching off from all social media. The benefits of r and r is immense: reduced stress and anxiety, improved mood, decreased blood pressure, chronic pain relief, improved immune health and a stronger cardiovascular system, amongst others.
With the day to day of life and trying to keep up with the cost of living, r and r sometimes takes a back seat to ensuring that the bills are paid. The working week is long, and the weekend is too short. Whether you go for a long bike ride, watch live sports, bake cakes or enjoy any other form of hobby, enjoy your r and r, as it is good for your health.
