Today is Breast Cancer Awareness day.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and it's estimated that 5,000 people will be diagnosed this Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I recently found out that a friend of mine has breast cancer. I didn't know what to say to her. I told her that I was thinking of her and gave her a hug. Her response was to inform all women that they should keep a close eye on their breasts and that she felt lucky.
If we can take anything from this day it is to check our breasts and chests (men get it as well).
I hope that one day the number of people diagnosed with breast cancer will significantly be reduced as there will be a cure for it.
