Getting back into good habits

The last time I went to the gym was about 6 weeks ago, before I had the ‘cold but not covid, bug.’ I had previously gone at least twice a week, three if I was really good. Now, I am trying to get back into my good habit of eating a little less and exercising a little more. It is going well, so far. Let’s see how it will go in the next few weeks with this horrible miserable weather.

I prefer to exercise in the morning to get it out of the way, however, due to the change in my work life, I do not have the energy to go to the gym at 6am and then go to work, so after work it is. I do find it difficult at times, as after a long day at work, all I want to do is sleep. However, exercise in the evenings, sometimes guarantees a very good night's sleep.

I am sure that there are many habits that you have let fall by the wayside, which you now want to pick up. No time like the present. My gym habit has not yet got into its rhythm, but hopefully, it won’t be long. I am not getting ‘beach ready,’ just healthier and fitter.
