First celebrated in 2013, International Day of Happiness was created by the United Nations to highlight the role of happiness in helping people lead fulfilling lives around the world. The resolution recognised "the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives," Taken from Checkiday.com My day will consist of having a full day of work, where I will tell myself to laugh every hour. Once I return home I will put some music on, loud and tell myself that I am the greatest dancer that ever lived! (Fake it til you make it). I consider myself very fortunate to have the many things that millions don’t have: clean running water, food, clothes and a job.
As I am getting older I value and hold onto being happy and being around positive people. It is good for my health and mental well being. So whatever you are doing in the 20th March. I hope that it will give you happiness. If not, it is not too late to create your own happiness.
