Daddy, dad, papa, pops, popsy, old man – Whatever you call your dad, I hope that he gets a day off on Sunday 20th June. I don’t know if he will want breakfast in bed or to be taken out for breakfast. Will he want to be taken out for lunch in the pub/restaurant or save some money and you cook something for him? Depending on your age, mothers will be helping out with buying the card and presents and paying for the food. The little big man now has money in his bank but still wants me to use my money to buy something for his dad! I explained that dad would appreciate something that he bought with his own money – it seemed to work. However you are spending Father’s Day – with you biological dad, grandad, uncle or remembering your father figure who is no longer around – I hope it is a reflective and relaxing day.
