5 years ago the little, big man started secondary school. This month he is officially a school leaver. For the next ten weeks he can go to bed late, get up late, watch television, moan whilst doing chores and have unlimited social media access. Another chapter has finished and he is ready to start the next one in September. Where has the time gone? No more checking if all his homework has been done, on time. No more getting telephone calls to say he has a detention. No more getting woken up at 5.30am, when he is getting himself ready for school.
Oh, Happy Days!!! The new chapter is going to be a little tough, life lessons will be taught and learnt and after the 2 years of extra study, a young man will emerge. I am looking forward to seeing how he manages with this chapter.
